WELL....
It's been awhile since the last post - mainly because of busy-ness around here...tile work picked up a little the last 3 weeks (Obama's stimulus plan , no doubt)...but wait! , now it's slow again!
I am work-deprived ; therefore I publish...
I must take note of various friends & relatives out on excursions away from this Winter Wonderland of Frozen Tundra....
Son-in-law Kevin Schneider just got back from 3 weeks of training in Baltimore to upgrade his abilities at the Veterans Administration here in town - and Amy got to join on weekends ! Eating out every night on the governments tab , fun in a historic Chesapeake Bay city and a little skiing in the mountains of West Virginia...it was all fine ; but Kevin admitted -there's no place like home !
Good friends Lois & Al just got back from a week in Florida - the Keys and the Everglades. Sure , the food was fantastic , the weather congenial (except for those 8-foot swells during a boat trip) and days filled with fun activities (note: Do Not stand still in Everglades for more than 10 seconds or you become some Crocodiles' appetizer !) Milwaukee suburban life sounds pretty tame & safe , doesn't it ?
Fellow Sheepshead-club friends Sharon & Virgil are down in florida -as we speak- traveling around from place to place , golfing ,biking and generally having a great retirement trip down in that part of the country where frost & cold never has a chance to kill off the ticks , spiders mosquitos , scorpions ,killer bees , etc., like it does here. Good luck my friends...
Same goes for my Dad, Diane, brother Tyler and Caryn...all visiting my uncle Ed around Tampa this weekend....watch out for those sink-holes..
Soon , long-time friends Joan & Randy will stay at their time-share on St. Lucia in the Virgin Islands....And i hope to god I don't hear of another near-death experience while scuba-diving 80 feet down when your air runs out ! ..the dreams wont stop...
Yes..life here in the dairyland ,even in february , looks just fine....
So Kathy & I went out today cross-country skiing at Whitnall park , on a beautiful sun-kissed winter's day , gliding over 7 inches of fresh , pristine Wisconsin snow......
Enjoy life...wherever you may be.......
