I'M BAAAAAACK !!!

Yes I am , and the gears that make

ADAIRFAMILYWORLD work are

back up to ~87 % efficiency...with

mental coherence up to within acceptable

parameters ....so as they say in the star-trek

universe....RESISTANCE IS FUTILE....

Soon ,I will be battery-powered and ALL

hope will be lost, my organic friends...

Other than that, I'm doing just fine...Actually , the most FORGETABLE aspect of this entire

experience(and you gentlemen in the crowd will concur with your grimacing) was the

traditional 'Removal of the catheter' tended to by a female nurse with( I swear ) remainders

of Goth eyeshadow ...and at home probably a black-leather holstered whip stategically placed for easy access -- just for wimp-assed guys like me who naiively ask if this will hurt less than it did 22 years ago , when I had it pulled last....

some things Never change...

By the way I'm told I remind a certain female of Howie Mandell . I don't see the resemblance

but if I can feed her fantasy , I will do my best !

...hmmmm...maybe a little goatee would

be OK....

Looking ahead to better Days...

A couple of nice weekends just

passed with friends and family

as we forge ahead into spring...

wet though it may be...

Most people might not think of a

weekend in the Dells in mid-april as

their first choice for a 3-day get-away,

but I gotta tell you....with the right company

and a little luck with the weather, it can turn

out Mighty fine ! Lois & Al had us join them in

their time-share at Christmas Mountain for a

sublime mix of Adventure ,Great eats &

relaxation....Here's a few pics , with more in the Pics link on the right if you need more proof....

Finally got in some Golf and some more biking , too...BUT now will take it a little Easy

for a while.....as most all of you know by now , I'm going in for elective surgery to

hopefully get a bit more control over that 'monkey on my shoulder' that i've lived with for 11 years now --Cervical Dystonia ; that neck/shoulder muscle-pulling neurological disorder

that I and about 1/2 million americans suffer from. Botox injections helped me for about 9 years

...but no more--I'm now immune to the Botulism bacteria ( and probably would survive an outbreak of the Bubonic Plague -which is a positive,I guess) .

As I get older , it's getting harder to live with...

So now i move on to a new solution.There are a variety of solutions , actually :

- medications .....tried them before botox ---don't work.

-Denervation surgery..a Temporary solution at best.

Which leaves me with DBS..Deep Brain Stimulation..which my doctors judge me a good candidate

for success in having done.

Tomorrow, Monday the 27th, I will have the first of 2 brain -electrode emplacements ,and later a battery-pack placed under the skin...

Post-easter chocolate high

Have you had your fill of chocolate easter

Had a nice easter brunch at the Adair's with all the girls

and their guys...Kathy put out her usual Extraordinary

spread --yet ,somehow , the girls were able to push them- selves away from the table to do the traditional

'easter-basket search' . They did fine , with Amy taking

a wee bit longer than the others. This year they turned

the tables on us by hiding one also...YUM! Thanks kids...

We male golfers in the bunch got the itch --after

watching the Masters on TV for a while--to go shoot a 9-

hole round -- cool-and-windy weather be damned--we

cant get enough , apparently...thats a pic of Tom & Kevin at the tee-off

SPRING..Take 2

I could say 'Last of the winter snow...take 2',

it being sort of a repeat of a few weeks ago...

--but with a few differances--

...the Brewers played their HOME OPENER

today....AND WON 4-3 ! Kelley , Roger and friends

were present for that nail-biter. Tailgating in the cold was a test of their stamina , i'm sure...

...The MASTERS is underway , and as of today

Tiger Woods is tied for (Whoa!) ..19th PLACE !!

He better say his prayers at 'Amen Corner'.

Actually I'm rooting for Stricker of madison - with 1 stroke lead over Tiger...

...I played my first round of golf on Wednesday with Kevin at whitnall park...cool and windy --but , hey!...we did pretty good tying with 50 for the back nine....VERY good for this old golfer

for the first round...sorry --no video to show off my patented swing !

ALSO...A belated BIRTHDAY HOOOOYAAAA for Tom R. ...Wed. the 8th was cake day.

sunday when they not only will join us in a brunch here
