--As we resume the Holiday discourse --
After all the Xmas -time stuff , New Years was upon us
with Amy's 30th Birthday , held at the condo 'party' room...
A cornucopia of food and a gazillion large pizzas were
washed down by rows of quarter -barrels of brew..
or so it seemed ! Fun & Frivolity with friends&family
ensued ...
After surviving another New Years , 2012 came in like
a lamb...I went biking my 'Franklin' route...Almost
went golfing ( many Did !)
Dad turned 80 out in Vegas on a getaway with
Diane ,Ty & caryn , Gwen & Jim .
Parties never end , though...Greatniece Morgan had
her first birthday, allowing for another Convergence
of the Adairs at Ty& Caryn's ( & Ashley &
Matts)...
That same nite , Kathy & I joined the rest of our 12-person
sheepshead club At Mo's Restaurant downtown &
a 'Suite' Admiral's game , thanks to Jim's scoring of a
package prize ! Yeehawww !
The Big Event this winter , of course , is Amy,Kevin
& Jacob moving in with us for a while , until they Find ,
and can move into , a new home , since they are selling
their condo ( closing soon !)
It's working well .... and we get to see & help Jake grow
& progress daily --- He's ready soon to start Toddling
around ...and you can never get enough of his winning
smile !
A week later , while A, K & J are off to
Steamboat Springs on a skiing weekend , Kathy & I
helped her sister Louise ease into her 64th
birthday , and provided the obligatory
flame-retardant suits for the group on hand...
All went well ! Those of us still With hair on our heads
did not lose any to the searing firestorm created ...
Later that nite the Adair Family contingent met once again
thanks to my Dad's annual Birthdays Dinner Bash , at
DiGiorgio's...where we proceeded to ...you guessed it...
Eat Too Much of some of Franklin's Finest Fare !
No problemo...I'll just work it off at Cardinal fitness !
So here we are , at the middle of february..
....waiting for another grandchild --Tom & Maureen are
due in april --
....waiting for Kelley & Roger's wedding in august --prep
is ongoing --
....Waiting for Winter to get here , so we can get closure
for Spring to proceed !
